washing ashore are memories
from a wreck beyond all sanity
a ship lost to the sea
my mind the vessel of vanity

the sea, the worlds calamity
and ignorance of my wish to see
beyond the petty rivalries
i have to partake for eternity


no road on the waves of this trip
to find a goal to be a guide
no crushing storm to stir the ship
the calm is what shatters the craft
and scatters the pieces to for and to aft
and now the wreck is spread so wide


i've got no where to run
no goal ahead
the absence of something that could destroy
my lonely brig of navigating my mind's alloy


no way out of a sea you created
no silence to find in the calm
forever to question it's fated
and nothing to stop it from coming to harm
